Fiji Photos!!

Fiji was unbelievable!! We stayed at Amunuca Island Resort on Tokoriki Island, in the Mamanuca Group of islands. The resort was very secluded and gorgeous, set in the midst of tropical forests, nestled up against a big mountain. Except for one rainy day, we had all blue skies and perfect blue waters. It was crazy hot!

Because we stayed on one of the smaller islands, you can only get around from jumping from boat to boat to beach, which was a bit unnerving at first. (Especially seeing our luggage tossed off after us!) We spent most of our time sunning and drinking fruity drinks and reading. We went kayaking and snorkeling a couple times, but mostly we just swam and relaxed. I was too scared to scuba, that's what most people did with their time. We saw a big school of dolphins and all kinds of other cool fish though. The rainy day was used for massages. One day we went to a village on another island to see a Fijian rugby game with all the other guests. It was a real experience to see island village life.

There wasn't much going on at night, except for 'fun' group activities! We did enter into an international crab race one night. We won the US crab in the auction - they called him 'OJ Simpson'. What a great representative of America! Anyways, OJ came in LAST place (10 of 10). Loser.

We really had an amazing time on the magical Fijian islands - the people are gorgeous and kind, and helped make the experience truly once in a lifetime.
